RECRUITMENT OF SPECIALIST CONSTABLES INTO NIGERIA POLICE FORCE

The Inspector-General of Police has approved the recruitment of technicians (Constables) into the Communication Department of the Nigeria Police Force. Applicants must possess ‘A’ Level/ND Technical or equivalent. In addition to the above qualifications, applicant must also possess Professional Trade Test Certificate in their fields of interest. Applicant must be between 18 and 25 years of age, not less than 1.68 meters for males and 1.64 metres for female in height, and must be physically fit. Applicant must present himself/herself with the following documents; Birth Certificate/Declaration of Age, Letter of Character Attestation from their respective wards/District/Village duly signed by their Heads or /Oba/Emir, Indigene Certificate and a Certificate of Fitness from a recognized Government Hospital.
Commissioners of Police are directed to head the screening injunction with the State Communication Department and other relevant officers to conduct a successful screening.
Candidate must be screened as follows:
1. Electrical Generator Auto Electricians
2. Radio Technicians
3. Aerial Riggers
4. Generator Mechanics
5. Generator Auto-Electricians
6. Telephone /PABX Maintenance Technicians
7. Solar Power System Maintenance Technicians
8. VSAT and Cable Maintenance Technicians
Qualified Candidates will further be screened at Zonal level headed AIGs of Zones in conjunction with Zonal Communications/Zone-Tech and other relevant Officers to be co-opted to select best hands out of the State Selection.
List of qualified candidates along with their relevant photocopies of credentials will be forwarded to Abuja for final selection and recommendations. Successful candidate will undergo Basic Police Training in various Police Training Colleges.
